Is Griselda based on a true story?

Based on the life of Griselda Blanco, a known figure in the drug trade not just in Colombia but also in Miami, New York, and California, many wonder if Griselda is based on a true story. According to Netflix, the show is “heavily inspired” by the life of the famous drug queen.

Blanco was behind a huge drug empire and was at the center of the drug battles happening in Miami from the 1970s to the 1980s. Despite growing up in a low-income family, she managed to change everything after starting a criminal life at an early age. Her marriage to Alberto Bravo introduced her to the world of the cocaine trade, leading her to become “The Godmother” of the underworld.

Is there a trailer for Grisela?

Netflix recently released the official trailer for Griselda, and it looked every inch epic with the surprising transformation of Vergara as Griselda. The preview begins with the arrival of a yellow car, while the next scene features a bunch of men who seem to be cartel members. “You’ve thought about me a lot, haven’t you,” she said.

From there, an enigmatic musical score plays as packs of what seem to be narcotic drugs are seen. “I heard that you liked my product,” she continued. “We can make a lot of money together.” As one of the guys asked who was in charge of the trade, Vergara appeared, looking fierce as she was eyeing all of them.
