Netflix is continuously hyping up the coming of its new Mike Flanagan series, The Fall of the House of Usher. The streamer has now released a sneak peek at the new show, featuring a “family dinner to die for” before something sinister happens. But aside from that, the trailer also officially introduces Mark Hamill’s character, Arthur Pym, aka Pym Reaper.
The Mike Flanagan universe is continuously growing on Netflix. After 2018’s The Haunting of Hill House and 2020’s The Haunting of Bly Manor, along with many other supernatural horror dramas, his next offering is The Fall of the House of Usher, which is based on Edgar Allan Poe’s 1839 short story. Of course, this one will feature his signature touch, bringing a fresh and freaky twist to the classic tale.
The trailer begins with Madeline Usher (Mary McDonnell) telling everyone that Mr. Pym has some important paperwork to give to them. As almost all of them wonder what it could be, Madeline explains it’s a “new non-disclosure agreement and it’s consequential.”
While reading the paper, Camille (Kate Siegel) reveals it’s about the forfeiture of inheritance and the waiving of civil suits. With the surprising topics on hand, she asks everyone to get together more often, calling it a “balm for the soul.”
