Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 Episode 13 picks up with Rudeus Greyrat still holding the book his older self pressed into his hands. Titled The Diary, the next episode of Mushoku Tensei Season 3 turns from last week’s warning to the pages that older Rudeus left behind. New stills for that episode show him in a colder register, and those frames now sit with the rest of the preview art.
New stills for the next episode of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 place Rudeus Greyrat in a tighter, colder frame after the visitor who arrived at his home. Episode 13, titled The Diary, follows the moment he was left with a book and a short list of instructions from that older self.
Last week’s episode of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3, An End and a Beginning, closed the Summoning Arc with a man who claimed to have come fifty years from a ruined future. That older Rudeus warned his younger self against a path that would wreck the life he had built, then died after leaving three instructions and a diary.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 Episode 13 premieres on Sunday, September 20, 2026, in Japan, with the weekly Crunchyroll drop expected the same weekend. The new stills show a desperate Rudeus, a weakened Roxy Migurdia, a shaken Sylphie, and a hardened Eris Greyrat, and those images appear in the gallery below.
The advance cuts already hint at how wide the next chapter will swing. Official images put Roxy, Sylphie, and Eris at the center of the preview, while the Man-God is also visible among the new frames.

Studio Bind spent the back half of the season moving from Perugius Dola’s floating fortress toward this more private turning point. Episode 13 looks built to sit with the book that was left behind, rather than rush into another public confrontation.
Those three instructions still hang over the house. The older Rudeus told his present self to consult Nanahoshi Shizuka, send a letter to Eris, and stay wary of the Man-God without openly antagonizing him.
What is Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 Episode 13 about?
The episode adapts the opening of light novel Volume 15 of Rifujin na Magonote’s Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, whose first chapters take their title from the diary itself. After Season 3 began with Volume 14 and the Summoning Arc around Chaos Breaker, the story now shifts into the Human God arc, known in the web novel as the Young Man: Human-god Part.
In the source material, present-day Rudeus finally reads the diary entrusted to him by his future self. Volume 15 uses that record to show him another version of his life, then returns to the current timeline so he can decide how far to follow the advice he was given.
The novel does not treat the book as a closed flashback. After the diary portion ends, Rudeus still has to speak with the people around him, weigh Nanahoshi’s counsel, and choose whether this timeline can be kept from repeating the one he just read.
That structure gives Episode 13 a different job from last week’s meeting. Instead of proving who the visitor was, the new chapter has to make the contents of the diary feel close enough that his next choices carry the rest of the season.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 streams weekly on Crunchyroll after its Japanese broadcast on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other local networks. Twelve episodes of Season 3 are now streaming on Crunchyroll, with Episode 13 set to join that catalog after its September 20 premiere.
