The wildly popular indie game NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE is officially making its way to television screens with a brand-new anime adaptation scheduled to debut in April 2026. Announced via the official website, the series promises to bring the chaotic and captivating world of internet stardom to life through the eyes of the iconic streamer known as OMGkawaiiAngel, or "KAngel."
Animation production is being handled by Yostar Pictures, the studio behind acclaimed titles such as Arknights and Blue Archive. Leading the project is director Masaoki Nakashima of Yostar Pictures, who previously contributed storyboarding and episode direction to Blue Archive and the upcoming New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT, in addition to helming the NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE short anime. The anime will feature a unique story and character developments tailored for the screen.
