My Hero Academia Season 7 finally started its second cour over the weekend after a one-week break. In addition to continuing the heroes’ fight against the villains, One For All and Tomura Shigaraki, the anime officially announced its new opening and ending themes, Curtain Call by Yuri and Sixth Magnitude Star by Zarame, respectively. Not only that, but the second cour’s opening video also gave a glimpse of All Might’s new form as Armored All Might.

You can watch the My Hero Academia Season 7 Cour 2 opening video below:

As released by Toho Animation, the opening video for My Hero Academia Season 7 Cour 2 features the heroes and villains' changes from their young and old selves and captures their intense emotions as the war continues. It starts with Shigaraki and Deku facing each other amid the ruins as they transform into their kid versions and shows their other transformations throughout the seasons. One For All unleashes his dangerous smile as a once-powerful All Might appears, followed by his current appearance as thin and frail.

Himiko Toga sadly sits in the corner beside her younger self, followed by Uraraka Ochako, who looks into the distance, with her kid version opposite her. Dabi appears beside his father, Endeavor, while Shoto unleashes his powers with his family behind him. Spinner and Mezou Shouji also appear. As the transformation of Shigaraki begins, Armored All Might flies off to fight the villain. Fumikage Tokoyami also reveals his power, followed by Mina Ashido, who joins the battle. Deku finally arrives at UA’s Coffin in the Sky, where Shigaraki is. While Deku is running, images of his fellow heroes flash on the screen, and despite their intense battle against the villains, they still look happy.

What is All Might’s armored form in My Hero Academia?

Armored All Might is a support item the former No. 1 Pro Hero uses. It’s the mechanical suit he wears during the Final War, specially designed to fight All For One. This suit comprises several scale-like robotic pieces that can be detached and have a connection with his car, Hercules.

To create this mechanical suit, All Might uses almost his entire fortune. It’s designed by Melissa Shield, based on All Might’s specs, and each tool, gadget, and weapon is inspired by and named after the Class 1-A students, showing their love for them. This item is used in the Shoot Style Smash and Ultimate Move performance, and fans are about to see more of it as My Hero Academia Season 7 continues.

It introduces America’s No. 1 Pro Hero Star and Stripe as she fights off Shigaraki after following All Might’s request. However, while the heroes prepare for their final battle against the villains, things get complicated as one of the Class 1-A students, Yuga Aoyama, comes out as a traitor. The season introduces Star and Stripe, America's #1 Pro Hero, as she arrives to fight Tomura Shigaraki at All Might's request. While the U.A. High students and the remaining Pro Heroes take time in preparing for the final battle against the villains of the Paranormal Liberation Front, things become complicated as one of Izuku's classmates is revealed to be a mole. With the young hero students contemplating whether they can save ‘villains,’ the Pro Heroes come together with a plan to divide and conquer the villains' side as the war between both sides to determine the fate of the world begins.

Its success has spawned a huge media franchise, inspiring numerous spin-off manga and expanding into light novels, stage plays, and different types of merchandise and media, including video games.

Two years after its manga’s release, it was adapted into anime by Bones, with the first season released in April 2016, followed by the second season in April 2017, the third season in April 2018, the fourth season in October 2019, the fifth season in March 2021, and the sixth season in October 2022. It also has three animated movies, with the fourth one, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, coming on August 2, and nine original video animations (OVA).
