Due to the writers' and actors' strikes, Marvel has continuously changed the release dates for several of its movies and TV series. However, as the WGA strike has now ended and SAG-AFTRA is currently in negotiations with Hollywood studios, there may be a chance fans will soon see their favorite superheroes back on the big and small screens. These three TV shows now even have release dates.

Marvel filed copyrights for its three TV shows, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, Spider-Man: Freshman Year, and Ironheart, and the filings revealed their possible release dates on Disney+. These projects are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 5 and Phase 6, though it remains to be seen if these release dates will still be changed as the actors’ strike is ongoing.

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries

First announced in 2021, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries has been through many changes. It was originally set to have a Winter 2023/24 release until it was removed from the 2023 schedule thanks to Disney+’s series of delays. However, its copyright filing revealed it could be released on September 19, 2024.

Aside from its release date, its subtitle has also been changed a number of times. Initially called Agatha: House of Harkness, it was altered to Coven of Chaos in 2022 and is now called Darkhold Diaries. The series will see the return of Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness. The other cast members include Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Debra Jo Rupp, and Miles Gutierrez-Riley.

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries will continue the story of Agatha as she finally breaks out of the spell she has been trapped in. However, she will soon learn she last lost her power and will go on a quest to have it back.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year

Spider-Man: Freshman Year is another Marvel series that has seen a lot of changes. But this time, it’s because of the Marvel Studios’ animation department. It was initially announced at Comic-Con 2022, though its release date wasn’t teased. Thankfully, its copyright filing revealed it might be released on November 2, 2024.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year is the 12th installment of Phase 5 and the third animated series in the MCU. It follows Peter Parker’s life as he prepares for his High School orientation, but things are about to change as he goes on a journey like no other. Hudson Thames will lead the series as Peter Parker, along with Eugene Byrd as Lonnie Lincoln, Grace Song as Nico Minoru, Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus, Kari Wahlgren as May Parker, and Zeno Robinson as Harry Osborn.

After being introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Dominique Thorne returns as Riri Williams in her own TV series, Ironheart. It was originally scheduled for debut this year but was pushed back to 2024 until it was officially removed from the 2024 Marvel calendar. But its recent copyright filing claimed it would be released on September 3, 2025.

Ironheart is the sequel to Wakanda Forever and the second installment of MCU Phase Six. It will see Riri's return to her hometown of Chicago from MIT, wearing her iron suit and untangling threads that will put her in a new adventure and imminent danger. Aside from Thorne, the cast includes Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins/Hood, Alden Ehrenreich as Joe McGillicudd, Lyric Ross as Natalie Washington, Matthew James Elam as Xavier Washington, Anji White as Ronnie Williams, Manny Montana as John, Shea Couleé as Slug, and Sacha Baron Cohen as "Mystery Man."
