Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 video game has fans excited about Peter and Miles' journey and the introduction of Venom to the game. As fans were expecting, the Venom symbiote will be a crucial plot element in the game, and similar to most adaptations of its story, Peter will wear the strange alien life form before it ends up taking control of the person that becomes Venom.
In order to match his new look, Peter Parker will receive a darker demeanor, much to the concern of his loved ones and friends such as Mary Jane Watson and Miles Morales. It won’t be easy to convince Peter to get rid of his new suit in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 since it provides him with a wide range of impressive combat abilities. These abilities were also shown through a gameplay trailer that was released back in May.
Apart from simple punches and kicks, the Symbiote grants Peter the use of his powerful tendrils that can grab his enemies from a distance or attack multiple foes at once. However, these tendrils are not the only trick Peter has in the bag in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
A newly-revealed Black Suit Peter Parker figure from Hot Toys, which is now available for pre-order, includes multiple accessories and replaceable parts. These include an interchangeable head that features Peter’s original red mask beneath the symbiote and a pair of web slings that can be used to glide.
However, a Reddit user called OneSixthPosing instantly noticed and highlighted the mechanical spider limbs attached to Peter’s back. Fans first saw these robotic limbs in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 reveal trailer that was released back in 2021. These limbs pay homage to the Iron Spider suit Peter has famously used in both the MCU movies and comics.
Since the confirmation that Venom and the symbiote will appear in Spider-Man 2, fans have been wondering when and how Peter might get control of these famous robotic limbs. The new Hot Toys Black Suit Peter Parker figure implies that the web-slinger uses his new robotic limbs while under the influence of the symbiote in the video game.
However, none of this has been confirmed yet, since Hot Toys might very well be taking an artistic license or using an older concept of Peter in the classic symbiote costume. But it’s evident that enemies will have tons of trouble defeating Peter if he is equipped with this deadly invention paired with his newfound alien suit.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to release for PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023.
