It's finally here: The first official trailer for Loki Season 2 has just been dropped and it has a lot of surprises. However, the best part of the teaser is undoubtedly Ke Huy Quan, who makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as an important figure in the Time Variance Authority.
Marvel Studios has dropped the official Loki Season 2 trailer and it opens with Mobius taking the God of Mischief to someone named OB within the TVA. It is immediately revealed that the character is played by Ke Huy Quan who is shocked when Loki suddenly begins "timeslipping." As it turns out, timeslipping is impossible in the TVA but Mobius begs OB to find a solution.
It's great to finally see Ke Huy Quan in an MCU series, not to mention that he's playing someone who will play an important role in Loki Season 2. It was previously confirmed that Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige himself hand-picked the Everything Everywhere All At Once star for the role, and we have to agree that it's one of his best decisions so far.
But who is OB? He is an archivist working for the TVA which means he knows most of the secrets within the organization. Will he be the key to fixing Loki's "timeslipping" in the second season? Or is the answer hiding somewhere else in the trailer?
The Loki Season 2 trailer also offers our first glimpse at Jonathan Majors' MCU return since Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and this time, he's playing yet another Variant of Kang the Conqueror. In the teaser, we get to see Victor Timely, a Kang Variant from the early 1900s who is shown presenting futuristic tech to a crowd. Needless to say, we can't wait to see what he is truly up to in the series.
Loki Season 2 will also bring back Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, and Tara Strong. The second season will premiere on Disney+ on October 6, 2023.
