If there's one thing that fans can look forward to in Loki Season 2, it's the return of Jonathan Majors as a new Kang Variant named Victor Timely. While Marvel has yet to offer an official statement, executive producer Kevin Wright has acknowledged the complexity surrounding Majors' arrest in March. Despite the legal situation and associated allegations, it has been confirmed that Majors will be back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe show's second season, making appearances in at least three episodes.
Kevin Wright recently spoke to Buzzfeed about Loki Season 2 and not surprisingly, the executive producer was asked about Jonathan Majors' role in the series. Wright chose to discuss how audiences will react to Majors' return as a different character in the show.
"I couldn't say how they'll react. My hope is they are engrossed by the story and not only his performance, but all the performances. There's a reason why I said it's the story we set out to make, it's a good story and it's really beautifully performed by everybody. So my hope is that people will embrace it and enjoy it, but I also understand that it's a complicated situation," he said.
Although Wright doesn't address it directly, it's clear he is talking about Majors' controversy. The Lovecraft County actor is currently being charged with six counts of assault and three counts of harassing ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Despite his legal issues, Majors is expected to continue working and is set to promote a few important projects with Disney.

For now, Marvel remains mum on the issue, leaving fans to speculate on the actor's future in the MCU. Reports suggest that Majors may continue his involvement in the franchise through projects like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Additionally, Disney is moving forward with the release of another Majors' project Magazine Dreams under its Searchlight Pictures banner. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 8, indicating the studio's commitment to the actor's ongoing career despite the legal complications.
As the situation unfolds, fans eagerly anticipate Majors' return to the MCU and the upcoming projects that will feature his portrayal of Kang the Conqueror. In the meantime, the second episode of Loki Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on October 12, 2023.
