If there's one thing that people will never forget about the first season of Loki, it's the iconic shirtless scene where the God of Mischief was stripped of his Asgardian clothes and given a rather plain TVA jumpsuit. The scene only happened for a few seconds but it certainly made the premiere episode a memorable one. Luckily, we're getting more of the fun moment and this time, Tom Hiddleston claims he is doing it for the fans.
Entertainment Tonight has unveiled an 85-second blooper reel from Loki Season 1 which showcases some amusing and lighthearted moments on set. One of the highlights of the reel is Tom Hiddleston's playful reference to his shirtless scene from the series' first episode, where he humorously points at the camera and quips, "I'm doing this for you." Considering that the premiere episode where the scene was featured generated an astounding viewership, his effort was appreciated by Marvel fans.
In addition to the shirtless scene, the blooper reel captures Hiddleston in his TVA dress shirt and tie, wearing a surgical mask. These scenes were filmed following the worldwide Covid-19 quarantines, reflecting the safety measures in place during production. Despite the mask, Hiddleston's joy is evident as he showcases his dance moves during a break from shooting.
The blooper reel also features other cast members, including Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, and Owen Wilson. It offers a delightful glimpse into the camaraderie and fun atmosphere on the Loki set during the filming of Season 1. Fans can expect that the cast enjoyed similar moments of laughter and camaraderie while working on Season 2, making it an eagerly anticipated continuation of the series.
What Will Happen to the God of Mischief in Loki Season 2?
Ever since he was brought to the TVA, the God of Mischief has been less mischievous and more serious about keeping things together. His recent bond (and shocking parting) with Sylvie will undoubtedly be explored in the second season and perhaps we'll finally learn whether he has a future beyond the Marvel Cinematic Universe series. But most importantly, fans are hoping there will be another shirtless moment in Season 2.
Loki Season 2 will also introduce Ke Huy Quan as an intriguing new character within the TVA. The Everything Everywhere All at Once star was reportedly selected for the role by Kevin Feige himself. The second season of Loki will premiere on Disney+ on October 5, 2023.
