After four years of waiting, fans will finally see Tokita Ohma, aka The Asura, return to the small screen in Kengan Ashura Season 2. Netflix officially announced the coming of the anime’s second season in March 2022. After just over a year, the new season will soon be released, and here’s everything you need to know.

Based on the Japanese manga written by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon, the series saw a sequel, Kengan Omega, in 2019. It was then adapted into an original net animation (ONA) anime series by Netflix in the same year. After a long wait, Kengan Ashura Season 2 is about to come.

What is Kengan Ashura Season 2 about?

The first season revealed how Yamashita recruited Ohma and how their relationship evolved. Ohma learned many tricks and moves while fighting opponents while remembering his mentor, Niko Tokita, who also served as his father figure, in the process.

That said, Kengan Ashura Season 2 is expected to continue the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, which began in the first season. It may mostly focus on its climax, featuring more bloodshed than ever before, and mark the end of the original story arc, which sees Ohma on a journey to become the greatest fighter in the world. The second season may also delve deeper into Ohma’s past and reveal why he ends up as a fighter for the CEO of Nogi group.
