Netflix has dropped intriguing new stills from its upcoming romantic comedy thriller Our Sticky Love, building excitement for the series. The images spotlight standout performances by leads Jung Hae-in, Ha Young, and Heo Sung-tae as they navigate a complex web of love, secrets, and danger. In Our Sticky Love, an ambitious prosecutor suffering from amnesia ends up sharing a home with a boxing coach who insists he is her boyfriend. Go Eun-sae (Ha Young) finds herself in this unexpected living arrangement with Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in) amid the charming backdrop of a rural village known for its traditional taffy shops. Their quirky cohabitation sets the stage for a heartfelt yet suspenseful romance full of twists.
The new stills highlight two distinct facets of Jang Tae-ha as the self-proclaimed partner of Go Eun-sae. One photo presents him in a sharp black suit with perfectly styled hair, his serious and piercing look suggesting hidden depths beaming; the other photo captures him beaming with a with a relaxed, joyful expression in casual attire at the boxing gym. Jung Hae-in described Jang Tae-ha as the definition of a devoted romantic. “He’s someone who always does his best to protect the person he loves, no matter the circumstances. At the same time, he has an unexpectedly clumsy and awkward side that makes him charming,” the actor shared.
He added, “I tried to naturally portray the differences in his emotions and attitude throughout each stage of his life—from a struggling boxer to an executive within a crime organization. After Tae Ha reunites with Go Eun-sae, I paid particular attention to capturing his inner conflicts and the lengths he goes to in order to protect her.”
Ha Young’s portrayal of Go Eun-sae delivers multifaceted appeal throughout the series. One still depicts her regaining consciousness in a modest rural hospital, disoriented after losing her memories due to injuries. Another flashes back to her pre-accident days as Go Ji-won, a driven elite prosecutor willing to take bold risks. Her pursuit of a dangerous crime syndicate for career advancement leads her straight into a life-altering mishap.
Speaking about her role, Ha Young shared, “Go Ji-won spent her life relentlessly chasing her goals without looking back. But after losing her memories, she’s stripped away from everything that once defined her and gradually returns to her true self. Watching her grow through the love she receives from Jang Tae-ha and the people around her made me want to root for her. Even when she makes mistakes, she’s a character you can’t help but love.”
The stills further introduce Baek Sang-gil (Heo Sung-tae), the boss of the criminal organization Jang Tae-ha once belonged to. Having fully erased his shady past and crafted a new respectable identity, Baek Sang-gil projects an intimidating presence, with his sharp gaze revealing underlying ruthlessness. Convinced he had permanently silenced prosecutor Go Ji-won—the only one aware of his vulnerability—he launches a relentless hunt upon discovering she survived.
Heo Sung-tae described Baek Sang-gil as “a character whose mere presence heightens the tension of the story.” He added “I thought a lot about how to portray the contrast between the image he presents in society and his true self. I wanted him to remain calm and composed while also bringing out the cold, ruthless cruelty at his core.”
Director Kim Jang-han praised the casting choices and noted, “Jung Hae-in was the perfect fit for Jang Tae-ha, a character who needed to be strong yet sweet, while also having an adorably awkward side. Whether it was romantic comedy or intense action scenes, he excelled across the board.”
