In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, when one has been given a role, the actor is expected to play the part until the end or whenever the narrative needs him or her. However, under rare and exceptional circumstances, one can get fired and either be replaced of their character discontinued. As for Jonathan Majors, he was fired by Marvel Studios after his conviction and for the first time, the actor is about to break his silence in a highly anticipated television interview.
Jonathan Majors faced an allegation for assault filed by his former partner, Grace Jabbari, and this stirred a whole new chaos in the MCU as everyone looked out on what the fate of the actor would be. Being off-brand with the Disney image is something that could lead to the termination of an actor in any Disney franchise and it was finally announced that Marvel Studios had fired Jonathan Majors last month. After almost a month of being silent, Jonathan Majors filmed an interview with Linsey Davis for ABC News Live that will be released on Good Morning America on Monday, January 8, as reported by Deadline.
The interview is expected to air on the other platforms of the network, too, such as GMA3: What You Need to Know, and on streaming for ABC's Prime with Linsey Davis and IMPACT x Nightline which will both be available on Hulu on Thursday, January 11. This marks the first ever interview of the actor after he lost in his trial and was given a guilty verdict and he is expected to address his recent firing from Marvel Studios as Kang the Conqueror. Rumors are now swirling on his possible replacements as Kang in the MCU which the actor could address in the interview.

As of the time of writing, Marvel Studios has yet to make any changes in the current narrative of the MCU and if the original plan will push through, Kang the Conqueror is expected to return in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Kang the Conqueror and his variants are currently the biggest threat in the MCU as the franchise entered the Multiverse Saga. Without any statement from Marvel Studios, the story is expected to continue as planned and the possible remedy of the studio here is to recast Majors.
Jonathan Majors first appeared as He Who Remains, a Kang variant, in Loki Season 1 and he made his return in the second season of the series as Victor Timely, another variant of the villain. Majors also appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania as Kang the Conqueror and other variants such as Scarlet Centurion, Immortus, and Rama-Tut with hundreds or thousands of his variants in what seems to be a Kang convention. This tease somewhat leads to the future of the character.
All the MCU projects can be streamed on Disney Plus.
