Being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a huge goal for any young actor. So it's no surprise that Joe Locke is thrilled to be a part of the upcoming WandaVision spin-off Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The Heartstopper star is hyping up his mystery role and praising his co-stars in the Disney+ series.
Back in April, Patti LuPone revealed that Joe Locke has been cast as a Familiar in Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The Heartstopper actor himself has been tight-lipped about the casting in the series. However, he still couldn't help but admit that it's a role that he worked hard to get.
In a recent interview with W Magazine, Locke called himself “a Marvel kid” when he was younger and that he put in the effort to get the part during the four-month audition. Interestingly, he didn't even know which Marvel show he was auditioning for.

“I did everything I could to get it,” he confessed. Although he chooses not to discuss his role in the interview, Locke later opens up about how much fun it was to work with “the most incredible women” of Agatha: Coven of Chaos which will be led by Kathryn Hahn. He admits that Patti LuPone is his childhood hero and that Aubrey Plaza gave him a signed headshot on their last day of filming. The image is now one of Locke's most treasured items.
LuPone previously confirmed that Locke will play a Familiar to the Witch portrayed by Aubrey Plaza, so this explains why he loves the autographed photo so much. Needless to say, we're happy that Locke is living his childhood dream and can't wait to see him in Coven of Chaos next year.
It will still be a long wait for Agatha: Coven of Chaos as it has not yet been given an official 2024 release date. In the meantime, fans can watch Joe Locke in action in Heartstopper Season 2, which is now streaming on Netflix.
