In February 2022, Rockstar Games officially announced that GTA 6 was in development, after which the developers went silent for a really long time. Fans had no other option but to rely on leaks and rumors in order to get some information on the much-anticipated video game. Fortunately, in early November, the devs came back online to announce that Grand Theft Auto 6 will receive a reveal trailer in early December.

However, the leaked footage of the game in early development was revealed some time ago, indicating that GTA 6 might be set in Vice City and will reportedly feature two protagonists. While everything about the GTA games is thoroughly enjoyed by the fans, there is one downside to these games. Those who have played GTA 5 or GTA Online would agree that the games’ long loading times are quite frustrating, especially on last-gen hardware.

Although the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S ports have significantly improved, many players still remember the times they had to wait simply to explore Los Santos. However, if the latest leak turns out to be true, then we might just bid farewell to these lengthy loading times! Since the new-gen hardware already has epic load times, the recently leaked footage shows how incredibly seamless it might be in GTA 6.

The footage, which has been removed from the internet, gave fans a look at the two protagonists in Grand Theft Auto 6 as they’re lounging about in a motel. The game instantly switches from Lucia to Jason in merely a second, before Jason gets up and goes outside. Even though the footage was deleted, fans quickly started sharing their remarks and were fairly impressed with the loading times.

Since this leaked footage is from an early build of GTA 6, it might not make it to the final product. However, considering the amazing features we have seen the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 achieve when it came to loading times, there’s a high chance that this leak might just come true. It’s important to note that this is only a leak and hasn’t been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games, so it shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Which GTA 5 protagonist might return in GTA 6?

Since it was officially announced that the game was in early development last year, many fans began wondering who the protagonists would be. Some theories suggested that the previous GTA characters might make a comeback while most claimed that Rockstar would introduce new ones. However, we might have something to go on after Ned Luke, GTA 5’s Michael De Santa voice actor, teased his return in GTA 6 by saying, “It’s a mystery.”

Later, Shawn Fonteno, Franklin’s voice actor, shared his excitement for the GTA 6 trailer, which many claimed that he might be teasing his return in the upcoming game. Unfortunately, he later hinted that his character won’t return in GTA 6. So far, the leaks and rumors suggest that Jason and Lucia are the protagonists but there’s no official confirmation. Hopefully, the GTA 6 trailer coming out in December will give us a clue!
