Gamers still have to wait at least a full year until Rockstar Games launches Grand Theft Auto VI, but the highly-anticipated game has already become one of the most-talked-about titles since its first trailer was revealed in early December 2023, and one man from Florida (the state that GTA 6's Leonida is based on) has recently become viral, thanks to his TikTok videos featured himself demanding Rockstar Games millions of dollars for seemingly using his appearance in the trailer, threatening to take legal action with his "Jewish lawyers" if he doesn't get what he's asking for.
As fans who've already seen the trailer already know, he's referring to the purple-haired character with face tattoos in orange prison outfit. Now, in his latest video, Sullivan has doubled the amount of compensation he's asking, but he's not just threatening to take legal action if Rockstar Games doesn't answer his demands, he said that he'd "break that kid out the psych ward" and together, they'd "hack your system again."
Sullivan is clearly referring to the infamous teenager who hacked Rockstar in September 2022 and leaked over 100 GB of data online, exposing GTA 6 assets that the developer has been working on. The company doesn't take cyber threats lightly, so Sullivan is threading on thin ice with his latest video.
Why is Florida Joker asking Rockstar for money?
In the same "final warning" clip, Sullivan says that he can't go anywhere or even "eat a pizza' without people approaching him to ask for a picture, and that he's been giving Rockstar "free pulicity (publicity)". He also reminds Rockstar that his birthday is on January 11, and he now wants $10 million for his "suffering and pain."
This is his fifth video demanding Rockstar money. It's worth noting that he keeps addressing his demands to "GTA" and not "Rockstar Games" though he did mention the developer's name a few times in his videos. He released his first video in early December, just shortly after the GTA 6 trailer came out. His second video arrived on December 12, asking Rockstar for $1-2 million while his third video shows him explaining why Lindsay Lohan's case with Rockstar is different from his. In his fourth video, he issued his "final warning" and raised up his demand to $5 million, reiterating the same points he made from his previous videos.
We can expect the 'Florida Joker' to return with another video, probably by his birthday, but at this point, people are wondering if he's actually serious in taking legal action against Rockstar Games and teaming-up with the young hacker or just doing this for attention as a big "joke". Some fans who commented on his videos also joked that DC should sue him for copying the appearance of their iconic villain, The Joker.
GTA 6 is currently at development for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
