The second season of Farming Life in Another World is slated to debut in 2026, though a specific premiere date has yet to be announced. The confirmation came via the Amazon product listing for the 19th volume of the light novel, written by Kinosuke Naito and illustrated by Yasumo. The obi not only announced the anime’s return but also highlighted the franchise’s impressive milestone of 5.7 million copies in circulation, reflecting its widespread popularity among readers and viewers alike.

Returning to their roles for Season 2 are several key voice actors from the first season. Atsushi Abe will reprise his role as the protagonist, Hiraku Machio, the ever-relatable farmer navigating life in a fantasy world. Joining him are Shino Shimoji as Rurushi Ru, Aya Suzaki as Tia, and Lynn as Ria, ensuring that the core cast remains intact for the continuation of the story. While no new cast members or additional staff details have been disclosed at this time, further announcements are expected through official channels, such as the anime’s social media accounts or website.

The first season, which aired from January to March 2023, was produced by Studio Zero-G and directed by Ryoichi Kuraya, with scripts by Touko Machida, character designs by Yoshiko Saitō, and music composed by Yasuharu Takanashi and Johannes Nilsson. Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for streaming on HIDIVE, and an English dub premiered in June 2023. While it remains unconfirmed whether the same studio and staff will return for Season 2, the retention of the main voice cast suggests a commitment to maintaining the tone and quality established in the first season.

What Is Farming Life in Another World About?

Farming Life in Another World (Isekai Nonbiri Nouka) is a Japanese light novel series penned by Kinosuke Naito and illustrated by Yasumo. Originally published as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō starting in December 2016, it was later acquired by Enterbrain, which has released 18 volumes since October 2017. A manga adaptation by Yasuyuki Tsurugi began serialization in Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age in November 2017, with 14 tankōbon volumes compiled as of March 2025. One Peace Books has licensed the manga for English release.

The story follows Hiraku Machio, a man who, after succumbing to a terminal illness, is given a second chance at life by a compassionate god. Reincarnated into a fantasy world of his choosing, Hiraku opts for a peaceful existence as a farmer, armed with an “Almighty Farming Tool” that can transform into any agricultural implement he desires. Transported to a remote forest, far from civilization, Hiraku begins building his farm from scratch, cultivating crops and taming the land.

As his farm grows, Hiraku attracts a diverse group of companions, including elves, demons, and mythical creatures like inferno wolves and a demon spider named Zabuton. These characters, such as the angel Tia and the elf Rurushi Ru, form the heart of the village that develops around Hiraku’s farm, each contributing unique skills to the community. The series blends slice-of-life elements with light fantasy, focusing on Hiraku’s efforts to create a thriving agricultural haven while navigating relationships with his eclectic neighbors.

Unlike many isekai series that emphasize combat or adventure, Farming Life in Another World stands out for its relaxed pacing and emphasis on community-building. The anime’s first season, which spanned 12 episodes, adapted the early volumes of the light novel, introducing viewers to Hiraku’s tranquil yet eventful life. The opening theme, “Flower Ring,” performed by Shino Shimoji and Aya Suzaki, and the ending theme, “Feel the Winds,” by VTuber Hizuki Yui, captured the series’ warm and inviting atmosphere.
