Marvel Studios is now gearing up for the upcoming release of the long-delayed TV series Echo. The studio recently filed for the show’s first episode synopsis to the United States Copyright Office and revealed Kingpin’s Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) return.

Played by Vincent D’Onofrio, the actor last reprised his role as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, in Hawkeye, where Maya shot him off-screen. Known as one of the most dangerous and powerful crime lords in the Marvel Universe, Kingpin was first introduced as Spider-Man’s villain. However, he later became Matt Murdock/Daredevil’s archenemy and a recurring antagonist of the Punisher and his adoptive daughter, Echo.

That said, Kingpin would play a major role in the new Disney+ series Echo. The first episode synopsis revealed Maya would be seen struggling to reconnect with her Native American roots. However, her nightmare wouldn’t stop there. She would also have difficulty balancing aspirations as a successor to Wilson Fisk’s brutal legacy.

D’Onofrio also received a second billing next to the series’ main star, Alaqua Cox, proving his big part in the series. In addition, the synopsis revealed the actors who would join the show, including Charlie Cox. So, it just means that fans will also see a reunion between Kingpin and Daredevil. The last time these two were seen together onscreen was in Netflix’s Daredevil Season 3.
