The first full trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine teased the triumphant returns of Ryan Reynolds' Merc with a Mouth and Hugh Jackman's adamantine-clawed Wolverine shortly after the Super Bowl TV spot was released online. While there's a lot of details to talk about in the trailer, the opening moments revealed that some characters from the previous Deadpool movies will unexpectedly return for the highly-anticipated threequel. While Domino and Cable did not appear, the X-Force show up for Deadpool's birthday party, and if you take a closer look, there's a surprising X-Force member.

In the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, you can see some familiar faces attending Wade Wilson's birthday party, including Vanessa, Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Yukio, Blind Al, and Dopinder. Peter, who was resurrected in the post-credits scene of Deadpool 2 after dying, also returns, but another fallen teammate is back in the upcoming R-rated MCU movie, and that's Shatterstar (played by Lewis Tan).

Unlike Peter, Shatterstar was not resurrected in Deadpool 2, but it appears that he was brought back to life. The birthday scene likely takes place early on in the movie, seeing the TVA recruits Deadpool, which appears to set off the film's plot.

What are Shatterstar's powers?

In the Marvel comic books, Shatterstar is described to be a mutant and military strategist with extensive training in various forms of martial arts and interpersonal combat of Mojoworld, the dimension where he was raised from. He has superhuman level of physical and mental attributes (strength, senses, speed, reflexes, agility, intelligence, flexibility, and stamina), as a result of the extra-dimensional genetic engineering that created him.

Shatterstar also has the mutant ability to manipulate frequencies of electricity, which he can use to create powerful bioelectric shockwaves, and can also channel bioelectric charges through his metallic blade weaponry. However, he rarely uses this ability as it tends to drain him. He also has the ability to open up portals and is known to have teleportation abilities.
