The Daredevil reboot, Daredevil: Born Again, has gone through many production changes in recent times. With the entire writing team being fired after the writers' strike, the show's future is looking as shaky as ever. However, now that the WGA strike has come to an end, we aren’t quite sure how things might turn out for the show.
This bold move from Marvel already had fans on the edge of their seat, when the Kingpin actor also surprisingly announced the deletion of his social media accounts. Vincent D'Onofrio, the actor who plays the infamous villain Kingpin, has decided to quit using social media. The actor went ahead and deleted his account on X (formerly known as Twitter) on the weekend.
Kingpin Actor Deletes His X Account
Vincent mentioned that he had "been contemplating this for a long time," and it seems like he finally came to a conclusion. He made his announcement on X, after which the actor swiftly deleted his X account, making this tweet, along with any others, inaccessible. You can read what he said in the tweet below (via The Direct):
The actor also followed this by saying he’s also “feeling like leaving Instagram." He said he might come back to the platform with a "brand new account", but he didn't seem certain about this decision.
“Don't think I'm going to be spending anytime on any platform. Feeling like leaving Instagram today as well. I'll come back soon or maybe later. I don't know. Maybe with a brand new account.”
Currently, the actor's account is still present on Instagram, meaning he hasn't taken action on his decision to leave the platform. However, it is worth noting that the account has now been made private, meaning only those who are allowed by Vincent and his team can follow him on the platform.
Vincent D’Onofrio has been very active on his social media platforms in the past, especially with the release of Hawkeye. For those fans who are worrying about the show's future, the actor has previously said that the cast and crew "are going to bring forward the best series [they] can." With Marvel firing the writing crew over quality issues, it seems that this will likely be the case. Fans have high expectations from the Daredevil reboot, and we hope that it will live up to the standards of the original series.
