Charlie Cox's highly anticipated return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is experiencing further delays in its timeline. Originally expected to make his Marvel Studios comeback in 2023, Matt Murdock's comeback in the new Disney+ series Echo will be pushed back to next year.
The highly anticipated Echo series, set to star Charlie Cox as Daredevil, is facing an unfortunate delay, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Originally scheduled for a binge-style release on November 29 this year, the series will now make its debut in January 2024.

This would make Echo the first live-action MCU release of the new year. Although the exact release date remains undisclosed, fans can still expect all six episodes to drop simultaneously. In addition to that, we can look forward to some Marvel Netflix characters to get back into the action next year.
What will happen in Marvel's Echo?
Echo will serve as a spin-off series to the widely successful Disney+ show Hawkeye which introduced the title character into the MCU. The new series will follow Maya Lopez as she returns to her hometown to come to terms with her past. In her journey, she is set to reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace her family and community.
Charlie Cox's reprisal of Daredevil in the new MCU show was confirmed in July 2022, confirming his role alongside Alaqua Cox's Echo and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin. While the delay may be disappointing to eager viewers, it suggests that Marvel Studios is committed to delivering a high-quality production and storyline, ensuring that the return of Daredevil is worth the wait.

Cox's Marvel journey kicked off with a memorable cameo in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, reigniting the excitement surrounding his character after his four-season stint on Netflix. He continued to captivate audiences with a significant supporting role in the penultimate episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law in 2022, donning the iconic yellow costume from the comic books.
The anticipation for Cox's return was set to culminate in his standalone MCU series, Daredevil: Born Again. However, the series has not yet been given an official release date. Hopefully, the Devil of Hell's Kitchen will be back in his own show before the end of 2024. Make sure to check this page for more updates on this story.
