Fans are about to see a different Park Bo-Young in the new slice-of-life K-drama Daily Dose of Sunshine. After being superhuman in Strong Girl Bong-Soon and editor in Doom at Your Service, among many others, she’s now a nurse working in a psychiatric ward. And to give a glimpse of what her new role will look like, Netflix has dropped a new trailer featuring a mix of fantasy and drama as Jung Da-Eun (Bo-Young) meets her patients.

Based on the webtoon of the same title by Lee Ra-Ha, Daily Dose of the Sunshine tells the author's real-life experience as a former nurse. This will be director Lee Jae-Gyoo’s second collaboration with Netflix after the success of All of Us Are Dead in 2022. But compared to the hit K-zombie series, this one will make viewers laugh, cry, and fall in love all at the same time.

The trailer starts with the introduction of Da-Eun to her new unit in the mental facility of the hospital. As she tries to convince herself that she can do this job, she begins to talk to her patients, starting with a woman who asks her if she sees a sick person when she looks at her. Another one asks if she thinks he can be better. A different guy then asks Da-Eun if she sees the dragon on the rooftop, as the preview shows a real-life fire-breathing dragon wreaking havoc on the city.

But after showing the fantasy side of Daily Dose of Sunshine, the drama begins. A patient starts choking while a montage of scenes shows the turbulent side of the psychiatric ward. “That’s what a mental illness is like. It’s an unpredictable disorder that can strike anyone, anywhere, at any time,” Chief Nurse Song Hyo-Jin (Lee Jung-Eun) explains to her. As Da-Eun starts to doubt herself, she aims to do better.

Da-Eun starts to work better with the help of Chief Nurse Song Hyo-Jin and Dr. Dong Go-Yoon (Yeon Woo-Jin). Seeing the kindness and compassion in how Da-Eun works, Go-Yoon realizes he smiles when he sees her.
