Daily Dose of Sunshine is one of the most highly-anticipated K-dramas coming to Netflix before the year ends. The series follows the story of Jung Da-eun (played by Doom at Your Service star Park Bo-young), a nurse who suddenly gets transferred to Department of Psychiatry, and the patients she interacts with there.
The K-drama also stars Dong Go-geun (Thirty-Nine‘s Yeon Woo-jin), who plays an eccentric proctologist, Song Hyo-shin (Parasite star Lee Jung-eun) as the chief nurse, and best friend Song Yoo-chan (Oasis' Jang Dong-yoon).

The South Korean series is directed by Lee Jae Gyoo and written by Kim De Hee and Lee Nam Gyu. Last year, Lee Jae Gyoo directed the popular Netflix zombie horror series All of Us Are Dead. The new K-drama is an adaptation of the webtoon Morning Comes To The Mental Ward.

Daily Dose of Sunshine Trailer
Netflix already released the trailer for Daily Dose of Sunshine, and it opens with Song Hyo-shin introducing the Department of Psychiatry to newcomer Jung Da-eun. “Dealing with patients feels very alien,” Da-eun says, as the teaser shows her meeting different patients for the first time.
“I feel so bad. Only good people seem to come here,” she says, but soon, things start to become problematic and the tone suddenly changes from lighthearted comedy to a mind-trip chaos as nurses rush around to treat patients. “I’m not sure what I should be doing to help them get better.”
However, Hyo-shin enters the scene with a word of advice for the young nurse: “The darkest of nights cannot go on forever. Soon enough, morning light will shine.”
