Pearl Abyss has released a new update for its open-world action game Crimson Desert, addressing recent player feedback while introducing exciting new gameplay features across multiple characters and systems. The patch arrives shortly after the previous one, underscoring the developer's focus on quick responses to community concerns for the title available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The developers confirmed that Damiane’s Elegant Carmine Leather Armor was displaying more coverage than intended, creating an unintended look that drew criticism from fans. In response, the update corrects this visual issue. It also expands replayability by enabling rematches against additional bosses, while giving protagonist Kliff a dramatic new unarmed Blinding Flash Finisher that ends combos with a powerful shockwave attack reminiscent of a superhero strike. Damiane and Oongka each gain their own Aerial Stab abilities, and players can now tame several new varieties of bears and wolves to serve as mounts.
Beyond these highlights, the patch refines numerous aspects of exploration, combat, and quality of life. Improvements target visual effects, quest progression blockers, and technical stability issues that could interrupt play sessions. Mount-related enhancements expand options for traversal, while combat tweaks make unarmed fighting more viable and satisfying against downed foes. The update also resolves controller display problems, graphics crashes on specific hardware, and various localization inconsistencies to deliver a smoother experience worldwide.
Since launching in March, Crimson Desert has achieved remarkable commercial success, surpassing 5 million copies sold and generating $180 million in revenue across its platforms. This latest content drop continues to support the game's strong post-launch trajectory as one of the year's standout releases, with ongoing updates helping refine the ambitious action-adventure formula.
