When is the Release Date of Captain America: Brave New World?
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has its own timeline spread out through different phases and among the titles under Phase Five, Captain America: Brave New World is currently slated for release on February 14, 2025. The original schedule of the movie was supposedly on May 3, 2024, then it was pushed back to July 26, 2024 but due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, Captain America: Brave New World was delayed for another nine months before its release. The previous schedule of Captain America: Brave New World will be taken up by Deadpool 3.
This move in the schedule of Captain America: Brave New World would affect other MCU films in line such as Thunderbolts being pushed back to a July 25, 2025 release from its December 20, 2024 schedule, and Blade reboot will now be on November 7, 2025 since Captain America: Brave New World took its supposed release date.
Who are the cast of Captain America: Brave New World?
Anthony Mackie banners Captain America: Brave New World as Sam Wilson who inherited the moniker of Steve Rogers in the franchise. From The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Danny Ramirez plays Joaquin Torres who, after Sam Wilson finally embraces being the new Captain America, is said to be the heir of Wilson's old moniker as the new Falcon, and Carl Lumbly portrays Isaiah Bradley, a war veteran who was experimented on to be a super soldier.
Two actors from The Incredible Hulk (2008) are confirmed to reprise their roles in the upcoming movie Captain America: Brave New World with Tim Black Nelson as Samuel Sterns, a.k.a. Leader, and Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, the daughter of Thunderbolt Ross. Sterns is a cellular biologist who was contaminated by the blood of Bruce Banner in hopes of finding an antidote.
Harrison Ford is set to debut as Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, the president of the United States in the upcoming movie. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Harrison Ford revealed the reason for jumping into the MCU ship as Thunderbolt Ross "I watch all these terrific actors having a good time in Marvel movies. I like doing something different to what I’ve done and pleasing people. So I’ll try a piece of that."
A surprising character addition to Captain America: Brave New World is Shira Haas as Sabra, an Israeli superheroine and member of the Mossad. The inclusion of Thunderbolt Ross could play a huge part in the narrative of Captain America: Brave New World. Speaking with Collider, Nate Moore, producer of the upcoming film, revealed a teaser on Sam Wilson's complicated relationship with the current President of the US in the MCU:
Well, look, Sam Wilson's Captain America, he is going to bring his own team to play. It's no secret that Samuel Sterns is making his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is fantastic because Tim Blake Nelson's the best. Harrison Ford is taking on the role of General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, and to see Sam Wilson and Thunderbolt Ross, which if you remember actually threw him in prison at the end of Civil War because he violated the Sokovia Accords. There's going to be some natural sparks there, which I think are going to be really fun.
A rumor suggested by @CanWeGetToast on X (formerly Twitter) puts some theory on the connection between Sam Wilson and Thunderbolt Ross. The speculation centers on Sam being benched because Ross deemed it best that having Sam as Captain America would not be good for his publicity. Unfortunately, Sam is the guy who is always on the field -- from being a pararescue man to being Falcon, Sam is always a hero in his own way. This is expected to be reconciled in Captain America: Brave New World.
Is there a trailer for Captain America: Brave New World?
As of the time of writing, there is no trailer released yet for Captain America: Brave New World. The earliest possible release of the trailer or a teaser would be around early 2024. The 2024 Super Bowl is one of the most highly sought after sports around the world and during the event, various commercials and trailers are present where everyone is expecting Captain America: Brave New World to have a trailer in that massive event.
