The Ahsoka Season 1 finale has already left fans speculating about the possibility of a second season. However, the prospects for Season 2 might be dampened by relatively weak viewership figures. Despite the connection to Star Wars Rebels and the highly anticipated return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, the finale seemed to fail at meeting expectations.
According to Samba TV, the Ahsoka finale attracted 863 thousand U.S. household viewers during the first five days of its release. The viewership figure falls short when compared to other Star Wars shows on Disney+. Notably, the Obi-Wan Kenobi series finale garnered 1.8 million U.S. household viewers in its initial five days. It's not even close to The Book of Boba Fett finale which brought in 1.5 million viewers in its first five days alone.
Similarly, the final episodes for the second and third seasons of The Mandalorian gained over 1.1 million and 1.4 million viewers, respectively. Needless to say, the poor numbers already have fans raising questions about the future of Ahsoka and whether it will receive a second season, given the disparity in viewer interest.
Will Ahsoka Get Renewed for Season 2?
It is important to remember that the numbers from Samba TV are an estimate and not the official numbers from the network. Additionally, Disney+ has yet to release the official numbers which are expected to reflect positively towards Ahsoka's final episode.
