Disney+ is gearing up for its new Marvel series, Agatha All Along, which will see the return of Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, the witch from Salem. After being stripped of her magical abilities and trapped in Westview in 2021’s WandaVision, she will get the help of a goth teen, played by Joe Locke, to escape Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch’s (Elizabeth Olsen) distorted spell. Despite the importance of Locke’s role in the series, his character’s name remains unknown. However, that may soon change, as subtitles from the new Agatha All Along teaser reveal Lock’s mysterious character.

You can watch the new teaser for Agatha All Along below:

While this teaser doesn’t include subtitles, the international versions do, and instead of "Teen," the only previously revealed name for Locke's character, they named him Billy. For a long time, there have been theories that he will take on the role of Billy Kaplan, aka Wiccan, the son of Vision (Bettany Paul) and Scarlet Witch. To give credence to this, MCU’s Wiki page also credited Locke’s character, William “Billy” Kaplan.

The preview, shared on Marvel Studios’ X page, shows Teen making a confession to Agatha. After helping her, he admits he has been obsessed with witches as the scene shifts to Rio Vidal / Green Witch (Aubrey Plaza) and Agatha herself unleashing their powers. Knowing Agatha is a witch, Teen tells her that he lacks powers. Lilia Calderu (Patti LuPone) then asks Agatha who the child she’s with is.

“This is my pet,” she says while pointing at Teen.

Later, the two find themselves in the Witches’ Road, where strange things happen. From a black evil to a demon burning up, monstrous creatures appear. Agatha and her group escape, telling Teen to keep up while flying their brooms. Confused about what is happening, Agatha tells Teen it’s witchcraft. However, when he asks her to write everything about it in his diary, she throws his journal out of the car window.

“I’ll remember it,” he says.

Joe Locke Discusses His Role’s Secrecy in Agatha All Along

While Marvel Studios has yet to confirm Locke’s character, Agatha All Along’s top secret seems to have already been revealed. However, days before the new teaser was released, Locke discussed the secrecy of his role. Like the studio, he is doing everything he can to protect Teen’s true identity.

“The secrets are secrets for a reason, and Teen’s backstory is an interesting one,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “If I was able to talk about it now, it would ruin the whole point of the show, and that is what keeps me being able to keep a secret.”

The Heartstopper star explained that he keeps his character’s identity because it won’t have the same exciting effect when he reveals it early when the series comes out. However, as many fear he can’t say anything as he’s muted or censored whenever he tries to reveal something significant about himself, he confessed he has lines and is speaking in the series.

But whatever the case, Locke is proud that he is being talked about and admits that playing a complicated and mysterious character is nice. He even teased that the teen fans will see in the first few episodes will be very different from the Teen in the last couple of episodes, hinting at a transformation
