Marvel Studios has so much on their plate right now as they ramp up Phase Five of the MCU with various projects underway. Movies and series go here and there, and for their upcoming shows on Disney+ in 2024, only three are making it to the small screens with Echo, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, and the animated X-Men '97 series. With this, the release schedule update seemingly seals the deal for Daredevil: Born Again which may have hit a delay in production, thus, not making it to the 2024 roster of MCU shows on Disney Plus.
Disney.com confirms that only three MCU series will be arriving in 2024 and without Daredevil: Born Again on the list, that only means that the series would be pushed back for another year. Only Echo has a certain release date on January 10, 2024, and Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, and X-Men '97 both have "arriving in 2024" which means that the shows can come out anytime next year.
Daredevil: Born Again has been facing various challenges behind the scenes which ultimately led to a complete overhaul back when the insights were taken from the production of the series. The show lost its head writers and were replaced, an additional showrunner was added, new directors were put in place, and the list goes on on the changes that are happening during tis production. At the earliest, Daredevil: Born Again could come out in 2025.
What other MCU shows have no release dates yet?
As mentioned, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has a lot on their plate cramming up various projects under so little time. There are still a ton of projects that are confirmed and announced but have no release dates yet. On top of these shows, there are also movies which are facing the same fate.
For the Disney+ series of MCU without release dates yet other than Daredevil: Born Again, there is Spider-Man: Freshman Year which was also supposedly releasing on November 2024 but since it does not form part of the list of Disney shows coming up in 2024, the series could also be delayed like Daredevil: Born Again. There is Ironheart where Dominique Thorne will return as Riri Williams in her own titular series after her amazing stint in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Marvel Zombies is also lined up but without a release date yet. Then, there's VisionQuest, Wonder Man, and an untitled Nova series which do not have any updates yet as regards their schedule.
Echo, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, and the animated X-Men '97 series will be available on Disney Plus in 2024.
