Ahead of the first season release, X-Men ‘97 Season 2 is now in the works, and cast member Lenore Zann, the voice behind the character Rogue, confirms the cast has begun recording. Twenty-six years after the end of the original X-Men: The Animated Series, the fan-favorite Marvel Comics superhero team X-Men is back with another great adventure that fans will surely love.
X-Men ‘97 will continue where the 1990s classic animated series left off. And to make the upcoming revival more nostalgic, fans will once again hear the same voice actors from the original episodes in the new Disney+ series. But though the debut season is yet to hit the small screens, several updates about its second outing are now emerging.
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Zann, now 63 years old, shared a tweet from the X-Men Updates account that unveiled the production for the second had begun, and the cast would begin voice recording soon. Zann then revealed that the cast members had already started voice recording and even teased that fans would “love it.”
“Heck yeah Sugah! We’ve started,” she captioned her post. “I think you’re gonna love it.”
Other X-Men ‘97 Season 2 Updates
Zann is not the only one who gave a major update about X-Men ‘97 Season 2. In a now-deleted post via CBR, Cal Dodd, the voice behind Wolverine, revealed he was already recording his lines for the show’s second season.
In addition, the series’ head writer and executive producer Beau DeMayo announced at the recent San Diego Comic-Con 2023 that he was writing the X-Men ‘97 Season 2 finale. “It’s going well. I could not be happier,” he said. “It’s a gargantuan effort with a truly like guerilla tactic, small, but very dedicated team.”
