We're already halfway through the first season of X-Men '97, and the next episode will feature a prominent location in the X-Men comics, Genosha. Today, Marvel Animation has released a sneak peek for X-Men '97 Episode 5, which is officially titled Remember It. The new clip features Nightcrawler (voiced by Adrian Hough) giving Rogue (Lenore Zann) and Gambit (AJ LoCascio) a tour in Genosha. What is Genosha?
Making its comic book debut in The Uncanny X-Men #235 (October 1988), Genosha is an island nation that exists in the Marvel Universe and is a prominent location in the X-Men comic books. It is located off the Southeastern African coast northwest from Seychelles and northeast of Madagascar. Genosha served as an allegory for slavery before becoming a mutant homeland.

The revival revisits the iconic era of the 1990s as The X-Men, a band of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, are challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future". The show will explore new stories in the iconic 90s timeline of the original X-Men: The Animated Series.
