GTA Online’s Christmas update recently added snow back into the game, meaning fans are busy having snowball fights and ruining snowmen all over the town. Unfortunately, like everything else, this weather is also going to come to an end soon, which is why many fans are busy wondering how long it’ll be before Rockstar Games takes the feature away from online multiplayer.
Although the developer hasn’t announced a date, most snow as well as winter-related events end by January 3, 2024. This means that Rockstar might remove snow, game modes, and these events any time now. However, the devs might also leave this snowy and cold weather alone since it’ll be around for a couple more days. But since the feature got some mixed reactions from fans, the studio might not keep it for more time.
Most of the GTA Online community has had a love-hate relationship with snow in the game as of late. Although it does change the entire look and feel of the game, it also brings some problems that usually occur with this weather. Driving around the city becomes a task since vehicles lose traction, and there’s always the danger of slipping down the road. It becomes a larger issue when you want to go downhill or uphill in vehicles that usually have far less traction.

With New Year’s Content Week almost coming to an end in GTA Online, there are still some tasks that players still have time to complete, such as the Snowmen Collectible event. In this event, players are required to find and destroy 25 Snowman statues present all over the game’s map in order to get the Snowman outfit. Aside from this, the Gooch event is still there, in which players can participate to get the special outfit and other rewards.
GTA Online’s Holiday Update also featured the Yeti Hunt event, which became quite popular among fans. The main goal was to locate and kill the Yeti in order to get your hands on the amazing Yeti outfit. There’s also the Weazel Plaza Shootout, in which players are supposed to stay within 400 meters of the Weazel Plaza to unlock the Snowman Finish for the WM 29 Pistol Skin. However, these events are set to expire by January 3, 2024, so only a few more hours are left for you to enjoy them!
