Netflix has dropped a series of photos and a new trailer for the much-awaited Virgin River Season 5. But as the preview stills and clip have revealed several intense turns of events in the upcoming new season, one image gets everyone’s attention. The image in question features Jack (Martin Henderson) showing a concerned look that has made fans worried.
In the new teaser, the small town of Virgin River will be in danger when the show returns due to the wildfire that threatens to destroy the place. However, aside from this, the fifth season will feature another big problem—the paternity issue involving Jack and Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley).
The series’ official Instagram account posts the snap of Jack looking anxious. “What's Jack thinking about? ….and go!” the caption reads.
As expected, many have cast their theories on what may have happened to Jack, from hilarious speculations to serious ones. Some say Jack probably worries about Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Charmaine’s pregnancy. Others assume that he may be thinking about who the father is of Chamaine’s twins if he is not their real dad. Whatever the reason is, fans will soon find out when Virgin River Season 5 releases.
Who could be the father of Charmaine’s twins?

The father of Charmaine’s twins has been a big part of the series. After her pregnancy was revealed in the first season, she identified Jack as the father, resulting in Mel stopping her budding relationship with the latter. However, when the two rekindled their romance, Charmaine was dismayed.
Jack and Charmaine decided to co-parent. But in the shocking Virgin River Season 4 finale, Charmaine revealed that her husband, Todd (Patrick Sabongui) was leaving her, and Jack wasn’t the real father of her twins. So, who could it be?
There are different theories as to who the real father of Charmaine’s kid is, but some strongly believe it could be Mike (Marco Grazzini). The former marine, who served Afghanistan with Jack and Brady (Ben Hollingsworth), was introduced in the fifth episode of the show’s second season, Can’t Le Go.
There, Jack told Mike that Charmaine was pregnant, and his reaction was quite different from what was expected. Though this theory might have come out from nowhere, Breckenridge herself told Glamour in July that the real father of her character’s twins is already part of the Virgin River universe.
That said, fans may soon meet him when the show continues. Surely, this will be another shocking revelation. Virgin River Season 5 will be released on September 7 on Netflix.
