Since Netflix dropped Virgin River Season 5 Part 1 on September 7, many are clamoring to see its remaining two episodes. The first part ended with a major cliffhanger, leaving fans hanging on the revelation about Mel’s father. However, this isn’t the only thing that viewers want to know. With the series' several loose ends, here are the five questions that need answers in Virgin River Season 5 Christmas episodes.
For the first time, the hit Netflix series will feature two special episodes in time for the holiday season. And as a treat, the show has already teased some major revelations in Virgin River Season 5 Christmas episodes. But will it answer everything fans want to know? For sure, not all, but at least it may give viewers an idea of what may happen next.

1 Who is Mel’s real father?
The first part ended with Joyce revealing to Mel that his father is probably also from Virgin River after seeing an exchange of postcards between their mom and a mysterious guy. That said, fans expect the holiday episodes to start here. Mel is now on a mission to find her biological dad, though she doesn’t know where to start.
However, in part two’s trailer, Mel says, “I think we found my dad.” So, will fans finally get to see who this man is, or will this be another cliffhanger? Hopefully, not the latter.
2 Will Mel and Jack try to have another baby?
Sadly, Mel and Jack lost their child while she tried to help save their neighbors amid the wildfire in Virgin River Season 5 Part 1. Though Jack wanted to try to have a baby again, Mel was already reluctant in a very understandable way. It wasn’t the first time that Mel had lost a baby. She lost her first child in a stillbirth, so the trauma is hard to bear.
The on-screen couple is not giving up, though. In the fifth season finale, the two decided to buy a land where Lily’s farm once stood and shared their first kiss. They planned to build their own home and start their own family here, adding they wanted to "fill it with kids." So, it just hints that Mel and Jack are still planning to have kids after all, though it may not happen in Virgin River Season 5 Christmas episodes.
3 What’s next for Lizzie and Denny?
So, enough of Mel and Jack, as we’ll go to another Virgin River couple, Lizzie and Denny. Lizzie made a big revelation to Denny when she told him she was pregnant. In the second part’s trailer, she could be seen worrying about the future, telling Hope she might not be a good mom.
What does it mean for their romance? It has been known that the two have plans to travel. Danny even wants to continue his studies and go back to college. So, will they break up? What will happen to the baby? No one knows, but there’s one strong theory that Mel and Jack will adopt their baby, which is not impossible, if they ever decide to part ways.
4 Is there a chance for Cameron and Muriel?
Muriel and Cameron seem to be the new couple in town. After Muriel offers Cameron to work part-time at the clinic in Mel’s absence, their friendship grows, and a romance starts to blossom. They even get Doc’s blessing to date, which happened in the Virgin River Season 5 Part 1 finale.
However, nothing has been confirmed yet, especially after Muriel has to move out. But despite that, they both promise to find a way to be together. As Cameron stays in town to run the clinic with Doc, there may be a chance that they will reunite soon.
5 Will Preacher be in trouble because of Paige?
Preacher looked seriously worried after his girlfriend Kaia’s boss called to say the authorities had found a body in the woods. For starters, it was the same place where he and Paige buried the body of the latter’s abusive husband, Wes, after she accidentally pushed him down the stairs that led to his death.
If that body turned out to be Wes, Preacher could be in trouble, especially after Paige had already decided to leave Virgin River. So, would Preacher take all the blame? This storyline is a must-see in Virgin River Season 5 Christmas episodes.
Sadly, it will still take a couple of months before fans finally get the answers to these questions—or parts of it. Virgin River Season 5 Christmas episodes, The More the Merrier and Father Christmas, will be released on November 30 on Netflix.
