The production team of the Undead Unluck anime has released a new action-packed trailer that introduces the show's duo-protagonists, Fuuko Izumo and the undead man named Andy. Animation Studio David Production (best known for the anime adaptations of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Fire Force) is in charge of the animation, and the anime will run for two consecutive cours.

The staff of Undead Unluck anime includes Yuki Yase as director, Hideyuki Morioka as the character designer, and Kenichiro Suehiro as the music composer. The anime is being produced by Unlimited Produce by TMS Entertainment. The main visual featuring various characters of the anime was also recently released:
What is Undead Unluck about?
Undead Unluck is based on the supernatural comedy manga sereis by Yoshifumi Tokuza, and it has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since January 2020, and as of July 2023, its chapters have been collected in 17 volumes. Viz licensed the manga in English, and provided the following story description:
What happens when an unlucky girl meets an undead guy? Pure chaos! Tired of inadvertently killing people with her special ability Unluck, Fuuko Izumo sets out to end it all. But when she meets Andy, a man who longs for death but can’t die, she finds a reason to live—and he finds someone capable of giving him the death he’s been longing for. All Fuuko wants is a whirlwind romance like the one in her favorite shojo manga. Unfortunately, her Unluck ability makes that impossible. But just as Fuuko hits rock bottom, Andy sweeps her off her feet—literally! Now she’s become Andy’s unwilling test subject as he works to find a way to trigger a stroke of Unluck big enough to kill him for good. However, when the pair discovers a secret organization is hunting them, it puts Andy’s burial plans on hold.

It looks like Undead Unluck is going to be one of the most fun anime TV shows coming for the Fall 2023 anime season. Broadcast of the anime will begin on October 6, and it will air exclusively on Hulu (for U.S. viewers) and Disney+ (other regions).
