There is little doubt that Loki Season 2 concluded with the God of Mischief finally discovering his "glorious purpose" as he embraced his new role as the God of Stories and rearranged the timelines into a multiversal tree as he sat on the throne at the End of Time. But what are the chances that Loki will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the series conclusion? Tom Hiddleston teased his character's potential return to the MCU.
Hiddleston recently spoke to Comicbook.com about the Loki Season 2 finale and opened up about the possibility of reprising his role in a future MCU project. Although the Avengers: Infinity War actor wasn't eager to confirm Loki's return, he did point out that there is still a possibility that his character's story is far from over.
"I've written to Kevin Feige and Louis de Esposito and Victoria Alonso and been like, 'Thank you so much. It's been like the role of a lifetime,' and they've written notes back saying, 'Come and see us anytime. You're always part of the family. We're always here. You've given us so much and tears have been shared.' So I think I'd be unwise at this point to be conclusive about any of it," Hiddleston said.

It's an interesting tease and it certainly makes sense considering that the MCU always keeps possibilities open. For now, it's unlikely that Loki will be revisited soon but there's a chance that the God of Stories will make an appearance in future MCU projects, especially since he is the one controlling the timelines right now.
Loki's Ever-Expanding Role in the MCU
Tom Hiddleston made his debut as Loki in the 2010 film Thor. He went on to reprise his role in several other MCU films, including The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
When the MCU ventured into television shows, it was only fitting that Loki received his own series. The show began by picking up from a moment in Avengers: Endgame, allowing the character to revisit and potentially alter his canonical experiences, bringing his journey full circle.

The show's success has solidified Loki's place as a pivotal figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with potential for further adventures and storylines.
For now, it has not yet been revealed whether Loki will be brought back in a new MCU project. In the meantime, fans can revisit his story in the first two seasons of Loki, which are currently streaming on Disney+.
