The Witcher Season 3 Volume 2 is finally out and the last three episodes of the current season put Ciri in a difficult position. After being stranded in a strange desert, she finally escapes the hellish conditions only to be faced with more trouble. But what could this mean for the Lion Cub of Cintra in The Witcher Season 4? Freya Allen discussed her character's future, hyping up the challenges ahead.
In The Witcher Season 3 Volume 2, Ciri finally found her way out of the desert. However, she still ends up at the hands of the Trappers and meets the Rats, a group of young criminals who help her break free of her captors.
With the Rats, Ciri finds herself in the middle of a truly epic fight and Freya Allen points out that her character finally found the confidence (and desperate need) to stay alive.
"That fight was everything. It was the most I felt like Geralt in a way when I was doing it," Allan told GamesRadar. "It felt very efficient but also extremely emotional because the entire time in that fight, Ciri knows where she's going, she knows how this is ending."
"How it ends is going to be the beginning of a new her," she added. "I think that that is the most terrifying thing about it. So it was a big one. I remember like my heart was just pounding throughout that, more than any other fight because I know where it leads. Ciri knows where it leads."
Viewers also realized where it will lead. With Ciri on her own and with the Rats, there's a dangerous journey ahead that we are expecting to see in The Witcher Season 4. Needless to say, it's about time that Ciri gets to do more in the series.
What Will Happen in The Witcher Season 4?
There are going to be major changes in the fourth season of the Netflix series. For instance, Henry Cavill will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth, who will take over as Geralt of Rivia. In addition to that, there's a huge chance that Season 4 is not going to be about the White Wolf but will focus more on Ciri's journey after meeting the Rats.
For fans who have been following the Andrzej Sapkowski books, it's the natural path for the series. After all, the focus is set to shift to Ciri sooner or later. With that in mind, we're looking forward to seeing more of Ciri's story in Season 4.
