The Witcher Season 4 will be making an enormous change in the series, which is the replacement of Henry Cavill with Liam Hemsworth as the Geralt of Rivia. If you haven’t been following the news lately, Henry Cavill, who plays the role of Geralt of Rivia, will be leaving the show after Season 3.
For a long time now, Netflix has been teasing how this change will take place, and fans are upset with the idea. Liam Hemsworth will be replacing Henry Cavill as the Geralt of Rivia, and of course, both look nothing alike. This is an issue; however, it looks like the show plans on explaining this story with the help of the magical narrative, i.e., the multiverse.

Talking about change, in an interview with RadioTimes.com, the producer of The Witcher, Tomek Baginski, refused to reveal too much and spoil the surprise for the show’s fans. However, he did hint that the writers of the series have devised an ingenious and lore-friendly way to explain the recasting that will take place in the show. You can read his full response below:
Baginski doesn’t really mention “multiverse” here, but that is what he is actually teasing or something close to it, at least. However, fans aren’t entirely sure of this idea because they are tired of the concept of a multiverse.
Regarding the quote above, a fan wrote, “They really need to just let this go, it's a re-cast, it's obvious to everyone, they can (maybe) salvage this thorough solid writing, performance and direction, 'multiple worlds' and hanging a lantern is not gonna help with immersion."
Another fan added, "But there's not multiverse in The Witcher, it's just other worlds. At best it's nothing like a Marvel multiverse and the sort. I have no hope for the series."
However, we just have to wait and see how the writers of the show plan on writing this change. Fans can watch The Witcher Season 3 on Netflix, but it’s not fully out yet.
