Ryuta Kijima and Sando’s light novel, The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raids -A Tank with a Rare 9999 Resistance Skill Got Kicked from the Hero’s Party, is getting an anime adaptation five years after its serialization. Produced by Studio Polon, the anime series will soon hit the small screen to feature the story of Rud as he goes on a journey to find the wish-granting treasure to cure his sister. To give a glimpse of this adventure, the series has dropped a new trailer to introduce its characters and reveal additional cast information and its release date. You can watch the preview below:
The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raid trailer begins with Rud, the adventurer with the highest skill of all time and the tank of the Hero’s Party. He then begins his colorful journey, facing the monsters in the forest and his group members, like Nin, the church’s saint and the duke’s third daughter. From there, a montage of scenes begins, and the opening theme, Brave by Ireisu, plays in the background.
Lilia, the guild employee specializing in quick attacks, and her twin sister, Lily, whose skill lets her move through the floors within the labyrinth, fight side by side. Nin then dominates the screen as she starts to wield her power to fight a monster. Later, Rud appears to battle a gigantic snake. The preview also shows Luna, a silver-haired girl with blue eyes shining in the moonlight, and Manicia, Rud’s younger sister, with transparent black hair and a doll-like face.
In addition, the trailer introduces Marius, the sword-user Guardian of the Avancia Labyrinth. To complete The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raid’s main characters, Amon appears, and she’s known for being the Guardian of the Caled Labyrinth, whose weapon is a fan with powerful wind magic.

What is The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raid about?
Based on the light novel of the same name written by Ryuta Kijima and illustrated by Sando, The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raid was initially serialized as a web novel on the site Shosetsuka ni Naro, running from July 2018 to February 2021. Shufunotomo acquired and released it under the Hero Bunko imprint in April 2019. It was then adapted into a manga by Makoto Kisaragi and began its serialization in May 2019 on Square Enix's Manga Up!
In October 2023, an anime adaptation by Studio Polon was announced and directed by Mitsutaka Noshitani, with scripts written by Hitomi Amamiya. It follows the story of Rud, whose Hero Party often raids labyrinths. However, for the protagonist, it isn’t just a raid but a search to find the wish-granting treasure hidden in the labyrinths to help cure his sister.
However, an arrogant hero kicks him out of the party after a failed raid attempt. As he has nowhere to go and is left with nothing to do, he returns home but meets a girl with an extremely rare skill. With her ability, Rud learns how powerful his skills are, making him the strongest tank.
