A new face is about to join Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo) in his next mission in The Recruit Season 2. Teo Yoo, the K-drama star famous for his roles in Past Lives and Love to Hate You, joins the upcoming season of the spy-adventure TV series as a new hotshot agent.

Though the exact name of his character is yet to be revealed, Teo Yoo joins the cast of The Recruit Season 2 as a series regular. He will play the role of a clever and driven South Korean National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who’s highly skilled and has a subversive sense of humor. With his dedication to his craft, he will go to any lengths to protect anyone he deeply cares about.

For starters, the first season ended with a major life-or-death cliffhanger involving the Russian asset Max Meladze (Laura Haddock) after her daughter, Karolina (Maddie Hasson), shot her. If fans already found this jaw-dropping, a lot of intense turn of events is about to happen in the second season.

What to expect from The Recruit Season 2?

After being renewed in January 2023, about a month after its first season’s release in December 2022, Noah Centineo told Tudum that everyone was thrilled to return to the show for another season. Like everybody else, the actor is also looking forward to seeing what the series creator Alexi Hawley is about to offer this time.

Hawley has big plans for The Recruit Season 2, eyeing to turn it up a few notches. “I’m thrilled to dive back into the fun, funny, action-packed world of The Recruit,” he said. After seeing how invested fans have been in the first season, treating it as a big reward, he promises to bring it up to 11 in the next installment.

In The Recruit Season 2, Hendricks will go into life-threatening undercover activities in South Korea, seeing the importance of Teo Yoo’s arrival. However, the CIA lawyer will soon realize that the bigger threat actually comes from the agency itself.
