
The Devil's Plan: Death Room, the second season of the hit South Korean brain survival reality show, is coming to Netflix this May. Netlfix has released the main trailer for The Devil's Plan: Death Room, and confirmed its release date: May 6, 2025.
Jung Jong-yeon, the producer and director of popular South Korean reality shows such as The Genius, The Great Escape, and Girls’ High School Mystery Class, returned to helm The Devil's Plan: Death Room, which will once again feature high-stakes survival games where participants from diverse backgrounds live together for seven days and compete in intense mental competitions to claim the title of the ultimate brain.
The teaser trailer gives us a first look at the surprising expansion of the "prison" twist from the first season into a full-fledged "prison ward." The sinister voice of the show's host returns, teasing that the new season will be "completely new" and "more dangerous" than the first season. We also see footages of the contestants' shocked reactions such as "7 vs. 7" and “There’s a deathmatch now?”. Clearly, Season 2 will introduce dangerous new rules, building excitement around the show's new subtitle, "Death Room".

Previously, Netflix revealed the 14 contestants for the second season, which includes Justin H. Min, Yoon So-hee, Lee Seung-hyun, Kim Ha-rin, Lee Se-dol, Park Sang-yeon, Son Eun-yoo, Jung Hyun-gyu, Choi Hyun-joon, Chuu, Tino, Kang Ji-young, and Super Junior's Kyuhyun. The Devil's Plan 2 was officially confirmed by Netflix following the broadcast of the Season 1 finale in November 2023. Following its premiere on Netflix, The Devil's Plan rose to the top of Netflix's Top 10 TV series in South Korea, and it made it to the the Top 10 list in 23 countries. Moreover, it ranked third in the Top 10 TV Shows (Non-English) on the streamer's global charts, showing the impact of South Korea's reality shows.
The Devil's Plan: Death Room will premiere on Netflix on May 6.
