The Clown Prince of Crime and the other supervillains of the Suicide Squad team are about to get isekai'd to another world outside of the DC universe. Today, Warner Bros Japan and Studio Wit's Suicide Squad ISEKAI anime series has revealed a second character trailer showcasing the Joker (voiced by Yuuichirou Umehara). This is the second character trailer released for the anime. Earlier this week, a character trailer for Harley Quinn was released. We can expect more character trailers as we get closer to Suicide Squad ISEKAI's July 2024 premiere.
Eri Osada is directing the Suicide Squad ISEKAI anime at WIT Studio, with Naoto Hosada and Akira Amano (Psycho-Pass) working on the character designs. Eiji Umehara and Tappei Nagatsuki are in charge of the screenplay while Kenichiro Suehiro is composing the music.
What is Suicide Squad ISEKAI about?
Suicide Squad ISEKAI will feature popular anti-heroes/supervillains from the DC Comics series that was modernized by John Ostrander after its main characters made their debut in The Brave and The Bold comics from the 1950s. The anime will feature Harley Quinn and her infamous team of criminals, including Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark as they are sent into a fantasy world where they will face enemies they've never encountered in the DC universe before.

In the crime-ridden city of Gotham, Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S., has assembled a group of notorious criminals for a mission: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark. These Super-Villains are sent into an otherworldly realm that’s connected to this world through a gate. It’s a world of swords and magic where orcs rampage and dragons rule the skies—an “ISEKAI”!
