The galaxy far, far away has an abundance of different materials in possibly every type of media there is. One of these are video games and there is definitely no shortage with that, too, but what it could have are delays. For one, Star Wars: Hunters faced a push back once already and this time, gamers would have to wat as the Star Wars Overwatch-style team shooter game will be pushed to a later date again.
How awesome would it be to have a team shooter game right at your fingertips, right? Well, it's better for Star Wars fans across the globe as mobile publisher Zynga will be bringing one soon with Star Wars: Hunters. Unfortunately, what everyone thought would be really soon would be pushed back a little later. This delay was announced by Zynga on their official social media page which said:
We are thankful to all of our fans who have played Star Wars Hunters in soft launch and have loved the engagement and enthusiasm for the game shown in our soft launch territories.
Zynga Star Wars also emphasized the frustration of the delay and that they are doing the necessary steps to make the game better:
Game delays are frustrating, for both fans and us as developers, but our top priority remains to ensure players have the best possible experience. We continue to strive towards that goal on Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS devices. Thank you for your understanding and we'll see you in the arena soon.

Star Wars: Hunters was first announced in February 17, 2021 and the game already had a soft launch in some regions in 2021 because it used to eye a release by the end of 2021, however, this is not the first time that Star Wars: Hunters has been delayed. Zynga Star Wars revealed later on that the game was to be delayed for a 2023 release and now that it is 2023 and still not released, Star Wars: Hunters has been pushed back again for a 2024 release which is quite vague and generic as it could be anytime within the year.
While it was frustrating to see another Star Wars delay, the franchise still has a lot in the bag as there is a collection set coming out next month, on December 8, which has seven classic Star Wars games called as the Star Wars: Heritage Pack. This is the very first time that the game collection would be having physical copies. Much beloved Star Wars games like Star Wars Episode I: Racer, The Force Unleashed, and Knights of the Old Republic are all remastered in Star Wars: Heritage Pack.
What is Star Wars: Hunters about?
Star Wars: Hunters is styled as a Star Wars Overwatch-style team shooter game which is a free-to-play and player-vs-player game. The game is coming out on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. It will be focusing on new characters which will be composed of a Wookiee warrior, a bounty hunter, an imperial stormtrooper, and a female Dark Side force user which will be after the fall of the Galactic Empire. Star Wars: Hunters will be fighting in arenas inspired by Star Wars locations and it will be set in the middle of Episode VI and VII.
Star Wars: Hunters is set for a 2024 release window.
