Almost a year after the second season’s ending, Lucasfilm has finally released the Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 trailer. But aside from setting the stage for the series's final installment, it has also featured the surprising return of Asaji Ventress and other Star Wars: The Clone Wars characters, making fans more excited for the season finale. You can see the preview below:
The Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 trailer begins with the Troopers attacking Clone Force 99 while in the middle of the road. With Phee Genoa’s help, Hunter and his men manage to escape. Captain Rex then appears, revealing his thoughts about the war and thinking that it also meant losing more of their brothers. “We can’t just walk away,” he says. “Not with the Empire prisoning the kid.” From there, Omega is revealed.
Dr. Hemlock then orders to secure Omega in the cell while Hunter reveals the child is waiting for them. Emperor Palpatine then reveals his plan for Omega and the Empire’s clone subjects to secure the future of the Empire. “Whatever is needed to accomplish this goal, you will have it,” he swears. From there, an intense battle begins, with Wrecker asking for a real challenge. As they all gear up for the final fight, Ventress appears, saying, “I wasn’t planning on killing you, but you’re making it very tempting.”

Who is Asajj Ventress?
Asajj Ventress is a Dathomirian female who has been everything. She used to be a Jedi Padawan, a Sith’s assassin, a Nightsister, and a bounty hunter. Ventress was born into the Nightsister witches clan in the Galactic Republic's final decades, but her coven was forced to surrender her to the criminal Hal’Sted during her early life. She was then spirited away from her sisters to the world of Rattatak and was enslaved.
Ventress became an orphan when the Weequay pirates killed her master and was later discovered by the Jedi Knight Ky Narec. She supposedly died in the 2015 novel Star Wars: Dark Disciple. After she died, she was buried by Quinlan in the waters of Dathomir. That said, her return to Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 comes as a surprise to many.
