Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 Drops Promising Update

Lucasfilm has recently revealed the indefinite closure of its visual effects and animation studio in Singapore, sparking concerns among fans about its potential impact on Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 and other animated shows. Although the third season of the animated series is set for a 2024 release, Disney has been hyping up the show's return. In addition to that, Omega's voice actress, Michelle Ang, shared a photo on Instagram proudly displaying an award as a token of appreciation for her involvement in the Disney+ series.

But is it possible that The Bad Batch Season 3 isn't going to be completed on time? As it turns out, the series isn't slowing down. Director of Cinematography Joel Aron took to X (formerly Twitter) to assure fans that the animation studio Lucasfilm Animated Ltd. (LAL) will move forward with the production on the third season as well as Tales of the Jedi Season 2.

"Just to be clear, we’re not affected by this closure. LAL is not in Singapore :) we’ve always been at either the ranch or where we are now in SF (or working from home!). We are still ferociously busy working with Cgcg to bring you all s3 of The Bad Batch and Tales of the Jedi," he wrote.

This is great news considering that fans are already looking forward to The Bad Batch Season 3 after the second season had a shocking ending. In the Season 2 finale, Omega ended up being captured by the Galactic Empire as Clone Force 99 struggled to find a way to rescue her.

Fans were granted a sneak peek during the Star Wars Celebration event in April, offering glimpses of Emperor Palpatine's return, the evolving relationship between Omega and Crosshair as they find themselves imprisoned together, and the daring rescue mission that Clone Force 99 will undertake. With that in mind, we can't wait to see what happens next. For now, The Bad Batch Season 3 is still in production and has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is expected to return on Disney+ in 2024.
