Respawn Entertainment recently posted a new job listing for their next project, and plenty of fans believe it to be the third installment in the Star Wars Jedi series. Cal Kestis made a comeback in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor earlier this year, a sequel filled to the brim with action that tasks gamers to find the truth behind a mysterious Jedi sanctuary while going up against the Galactic Empire’s forces.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor builds up on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s formula with some brand-new Force powers and lightsaber fighting styles. The game eventually ended up receiving great reviews and epic sales. The most popular Star Wars stories come in the form of trilogies, and Respawn has previously teased multiple times that the Star Wars Jedi series will have a total of three installments.

In the past couple of months, the company has been searching for new employees to work on a project that may be the third Jedi game, such as a Sr. Combat Designer and a Senior VFX Artist. The actor Cameron Monaghan, who plays the role of Cal Kestis in both Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor, said that one more Jedi title is in the works.

During the Ocala Comic Con last month, Monaghan said regarding the third installment in the Jedi series, "We're working on a third and we're in the process of doing that right now. That's a big undertaking and there have been some conversations so far, but hopefully when all things are said and done, we'll be able to go in and make something really cool."

Respawn recently posted a new job listing for a Principal Gameplay Designer on its official website. Although there’s no mention of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in the listing, it does say that the candidate is going to “work with design leadership, level design, art, code, and animation departments to create a satisfying and fun gameplay experience,” and "design and iterate on hero navigation mechanics.”

Moreover, it says that the applicants must have seven or more years of experience in the gaming industry and with scripting tools in order to fine-tune player controls and practical knowledge of the level design process. There’s a high chance that the Principal Gameplay Designer will be hired to work on the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor game, which hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can now be played on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
