The infamous WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes have caused plenty of major upcoming projects to get delayed countless times, including one of the three Star Wars movies announced in April. However, several signs suggest that fans will see the Star Wars movie led by Daisy Ridley first as compared to the others.

As per StarWarsNews.net (via SFFGazette.com), there’s a high chance that Steven Knight will have wrapped up the screenplay’s final draft by the end of November/Thanksgiving. So, the Lucasfilm executives should get their hands on the script by no later than Christmas. The website further suggests that production for the movie might begin in London by next April and claims that the film might have an August/September release date.

When it comes to the script’s title, many rumors have been recently suggesting that the upcoming movie might be called Star Wars: A New Beginning. Although this title does sound a bit generic and funny, the site does explain that "Lucasfilm hasn’t decided on a title for the film yet and is more focused on getting the actual story right for now."

This means that A New Beginning is not completely out of the picture, so it might have been considered at some point by Lucasfilm. Not only this, but the studio will also get busy on its other two Star Wars, James Mangold being the mastermind behind one of them. In this movie, he’ll share the story of the first Jedi to exist thousands of years ago in the past.

The other movie comes from Dave Filoni and takes place in the same timeline as The Mandalorian, which might make Grand Admiral Thrawn the center of attention. After those two, we have the Rey movie, set to take place 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker.

What is Daisy Ridley's Star Wars movie about?

The President of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, confirmed that the movie will feature a completely new era of the Star Wars timeline, which is officially titled “The New Jedi Order.” In this movie, Daisy Ridley will be reprising her role as Rey as she works to rebuild the Jedi Order now that the First Order and her grandfather Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), have lost.
