Star Wars: Ahsoka Episode 6 Runtime Follows an Old-Fashioned TV Tradition

Star Wars: Ahsoka is seemingly competing with primetime TV shows.

Star Wars: Ahsoka has already made a big change with the time of its episodes’ release, having the guts to compete with the primetime TV shows. But despite the fears it may not succeed, the show is now earning praise from fans. The series again challenges TV shows and networks and follows this old-fashioned tradition with the upcoming Ahsoka Episode 6 runtime.

Ahsoka first surprised many when its release time was moved to 6 AM PST/9 PM EST on Disney+. The streamers usually drop new shows or episodes in the middle of the night, at 12 AM PST/ 3 AM EST, to avoid competing with primetime TV. But the Star Wars series has broken the norm and has proven its worth. Hence, it’s brave enough to repeat this move.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), known Star Wars leaker DiamondFire revealed that the sixth episode of Ahsoka would run for 46 minutes and 26 seconds. This excluded the extended D+ credits and only included the recap and other Lucasfilm ones. That said, fans will see 40 minutes of Ahsoka Episode 6.

For starters, the 40-minute episode length is usually how long a traditional TV episode runs, cutting off the commercials. That said, it’s another welcoming change the show has made. However, it isn’t the longest episode the series has released and only the third longest to date. The premiere episode ran for 54 minutes, while the second episode’s runtime was 49 minutes and 50 seconds.

However, as neither Disney+ nor Lucasfilm has confirmed the claim, fans should only take this leak with a grain of salt. But knowing DiamondFire has correctly predicted the runtime of every Ahsoka episode, there may be truth to it.

What is Star Wars: Ahsoka Episode 6 about?

The previous episode saw the much-awaited appearance of Ahsoka’s former master, Anakin Skywalker. Anakin had a chance to mentor Ahsoka again for the last time. Though it was only conventional, reliving the past and having lightsaber duels, the lesson the Chosen One taught his former Padawan might help save her and the universe.

Meanwhile, in Star Wars: Ahsoka Episode 6, there are high expectations that Grand Admiral Thrawn will finally be seen. The series’ trailer has featured a couple of shots of the Imperial officer, but those aren’t seen in the previous episodes yet. Though there are still two episodes before the series concludes, it may release new trailers to tease the finale.

So, there are theories that Ahsoka and droid Huyan may arrive in Peridea as the Jedi warrior rides the Purrgil to travel across the galaxies. It may also feature Hera’s court-martial, her alliance with Mon Mothma, and Syndulla General’s dilemma.
