We already know that Ahsoka will be a sequel to Star Wars Rebels, exploring the events that took place after the Ghost crew parted ways. But which timeline does the Disney+ series belong to? Natasha Liu Bordizzo has confirmed the show's timeline placement.

Natasha Liu Bordizzo was the second cast member to be announced for Ahsoka after Rosario Dawson and the Dayshift actor had plenty of time to prepare for her action-packed role as Sabine Wren. That also meant Bordizzo has a clearer understanding of the show's story and timeline.

But does Bordizzo know the exact timeline placement of Ahsoka? In a recent interview with SFX magazine, the Guns Akimbo star pointed out that the series takes place in the same universe as the other Star Wars shows on Disney+ and is very much connected to this universe.

"I think it's hard not to feel part of something bigger," Bordizzo said. "Ahsoka runs along the same timeline as The Mandalorian Season 3, and the shows are all connected. There's just so many parallels."

That certainly makes sense but it also confirms that Ahsoka happens after the events in The Mandalorian Season 2 which introduced Dawson's Ahsoka. In the previous series, Ahsoka had faced off against Morgan Elsbeth, a servant of Grand Admiral Thrawn who refused to divulge his location.

We already know that Diana Lee Inosanto will reprise her role as Morgan Elsbeth in Ahsoka so there is a good chance that she will face off against the former Jedi again in the new show. Needless to say, this means we will be seeing a lot of action this August.

Ahsoka also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn. The show will consist of eight episodes and will premiere on Disney+ on August 23, 2023.
