Spy x Family Season 2 only has one episode left before it finally concludes. And with its nearing finale, the anime dropped a new trailer that hints at an emotionally satisfying ending at the recent Jump Festa 2024. From showing the most famous moments in the series to the Forger family’s recent adventures, everything hits all the feels as another season is about to come to an end. You can check the preview below:

The Spy x Family Season 2 trailer begins with the first time Loid meets Anya to adopt her and build his pretend family to complete his mission. Described as the smartest kid, Loid decides to take the child and tells her to call her “dear father” from then on. Little did they know that Anya could read minds, and she knew her pretend dad and mom were a spy and an assassin.

From there, Yor is introduced as Loid’s pretend wife, while the preview also features the adoption of Bond, Anya’s lovable dog, which also has a superpower. After the brief recap, it features the anime adaptation of the manga’s famous Cruise Adventure arc, where Yor starts to contemplate if she should leave her double life as an assassin after being put in danger while trying to protect Olka and her child.

As the trailer nears its end, it shows the family’s recent outing, where Yor says, “I hope this peaceful moment may last forever.” “Thank you for listening to Anya’s whim,” Loid adds, giving an emotionally satisfying ending that seemingly hints that Loid and Yor will choose their pretend family over anything else.

What to expect from the Spy x Family Season 2 finale

So far, the anime has yet to release the official stills or trailer for the Spy x Family Season 2 finale. However, there are theories that it may adapt the manga’s chapter 60, which will feature the budding romance between Franky and Fiona, aka Agent Nightfall.

As the series usually features two stories in one episode, the 12th episode may also adapt the manga’s chapter 61, where Anya will get another Tonitrus Bolt. It may also depict her developing friendship with Damian, who attends the same academy as her.

Based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuya Endo, it started its serialization in 2019 and has 12 tankobon volumes as of October 2023. As of September 2023, it already has over 31 million copies in circulation, making it one of the best-selling manga of today. It was then adapted into anime by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, with the first season releasing in April 2022, while the second season premiered in October 2023. The same studios also adapted its first-ever movie, Spy × Family CODE: White, which will be released in Japan this December and in international theaters in 2024.
