As the release of Spy x Family CODE: White draws near, Wit Studio and CloverWorks are now hard at work to promote the franchise’s first-ever movie. The anime has released a new trailer showing the new mission Loid Forger has to fulfill. However, as he’s about to bring his whole pretend family to this new task, the preview reveals that Anya will be in danger. You can watch the trailer below:
The preview begins with Sylvia revealing she has received a call from a Frejis agent with a new offer and asking Loid to dash for a microfilm. It then shows the two new protagonists, Domitri and Luca, talking about changing the balance between East and West when Anya takes the scene, holding a small box that contains a special chocolate.
As the next sequence shows the Forger family preparing for their special holiday, Yor sees Loid with another girl, who makes her jealous. Anya hides as Domitri and Luca find her and accidentally swallows the chocolate. The big bad Snyder appears before her, and she’s next seen struggling while someone is holding a knife in front of her.
From there, the action begins as Loid exchanges fire with other men. Alternatively, Yor unleashes her inner Thorn Princess as she avoids a blast and gunfire. Sylvia then says they ask them to do a job on which the world’s fate depends.
What is Spy x Family CODE: White about?
Spy x Family CODE: White follows Loid’s new mission, Operation Strix. However, this happened while a cooking competition occurred at Eden Academy. So, to show progress in his latest mission, negotiate with Wise to continue his task, and protect world peace, Loid asks Anya to make Melemele, a traditional pastry from the Frejis region.
As the family travels to the region, Anya sees a small box inside a train that makes her curious. The owner arrived as she opened the box, causing her to panic and accidentally swallow the chocolate. Little did she know that the sweet contained a huge secret that threatened world peace.

After receiving an order to be replaced in Operation Strix, Loid decides to help Anya win a cooking competition at Eden Academy by making the principal's favorite meal in order to prevent his replacement. The Forgers decide to travel to the meal's origin region, where they set off a chain of actions which could potentially put the world's peace at risk.
Based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuya Endo, Spy x Family has become one of the best-selling manga of today, with over 31 million copies in circulation. Starting its serialization in March 2019, it has 12 tankobon volumes as of October 2023. An anime adapted by Wit Studio and CloverWorks premiered its first season in April 2022, followed by a second season in October 2023. The same two studios animated its first upcoming movie.
Spy x Family CODE: White will be released on December 22, 2023, in Japan and 2024 worldwide. With a perfect mix of action-packed scenes and cute family banter, the franchise’s first film is a must-see.
